While riding, your feet provide stability, propel you forward and even help control your bike. They're extremely important, so trust Giro's Code shoes for a great ride every time. The Codes are made to fit your feet, not the other way around. For example, the flat Easton EC90 carbon soles provide the perfect platform for your feet so you can enjoy maximum power transfer and unrivaled comfort. The soles are connected to soft-yet-durable Teijin microfiber uppers and the Codes even boast an offset middle strap to prevent pressure points. What's more, scuff guards ensure durability and aggressive sole lugs help you find your footing on treacherous hike-a-bikes.
In order to mount your pedals' cleats to your shoes, they must have matching bolt patterns. There are 3 configurations (diagram) used on cycling shoes, SPD-R, Look/SPD-SL and SPD. Road shoes feature one, two or even all three of these. Mountain-bike shoes usually use the SPD pattern. If you have any questions about cleat compatibility, please contact us. We're here to help!
